Role Summary/Purpose - The Associate Signal Engineer (ASE) will be responsible for applying railroad signal engineering principles. The ASE
will apply signal engineering principles to wayside and crossing installations across projects for freight, short-line and
transit customers.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities -
The ASE will be responsible for creating product submittals that meet the specifications, circuit plans that exceed
customer expectations and are error free and fulfill the application logic while meeting schedule/budget commitments.
Qualifications/Requirements-
Diploma engineering (Electrical/Electronics) with 2 to 3 years experience in Railway Signal Engineering domain.
Experience using engineering design automation tools to improve the efficiency and quality of the engineering design
process.
Experience in applying microprocessor based controllers and developing the Boolean or ladder logic for their
execution.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain good customer relations.
Desired -
ASE must have a strong history of meeting and/or exceeding their commitments and be goal oriented in their focus.
The ASE must posess excellent communications skills in order to effectively interface with signal engineers,
customers and senior management. Additionaly they should have Proficiency in use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
Outlook, experience in ACE is desirable but not mandatory, excellent organizational skills, experience in application of
digitization tools to improve efficiency & preferred experience in railroad signaling designs.
